SUNNYVALE, Calif., Feb. 20, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- LitePoint, a leading provider of wireless test solutions, announced today that the LitePoint IQxel-MW wireless test solution has been successfully verified using Broadcom Max WiFi chipsets. LitePoint and Broadcom Limited have collaborated in the design verification of Broadcom Max WiFi chipsets to meet the stringent requirements of the new 802.11ax WiFi standard. OEMs and ODMs can now develop 802.11ax WiFi products with confidence using the IQxel-MW to validate their designs. The availability of this solution will provide them with the ability to develop quality products with shorter development cycles.
The new 802.11ax standard is the most complex WiFi standard in history with specialized capabilities managing the interaction between an access point and multiple client devices in a congested environment. The standard includes many new technologies designed to improve system capacity and quality of service, such as OFDMA, TWT, scheduling, and spatial reuse. 802.11ax OFDMA operations have been thoroughly verified for a variety of use cases using the IQxel-MW, which are key to ensuring an optimal customer experience when the OFDMA-enabled 802.11ax products are released to market.
"Broadcom continues to collaborate with LitePoint to ensure that high quality test solutions are available to our customers and manufacturing partners as they introduce Max WiFi based solutions to market," said Bryan Richter, Head of Test Engineering of the Wireless Communications & Connectivity Division at Broadcom Limited.
“Manufacturers will benefit from IQxel-MW’s pioneering multi-DUT, parallel test architecture delivering up to 400% more throughput over single DUT test solutions for reduced product test costs,” said John Lukez, Vice President of Applications Engineering at LitePoint.
The IQxel-MW will be showcased at the LitePoint meeting room #6O31 in Hall 6 at the Mobile World Congress 2018 exhibition in Barcelona, Spain from February 26th to March 1st.
